Deorro Los Angeles Concert reviews
Unbelievable New Orleans Show!! (no spoilers)
I've been a fan since 1977, and last night I witnessed what was possibly the best overall entertainment experience of my life - and I've seen and done A LOT. My wife, who is not really a fan of the franchise, was just as impressed as I was. The exhibits were well-planned and placed, and entire families dressed in character added to the excitement. Members of the 501st Legion were there, taking pictures with everyone who asked. A New Hope was my son's first movie, just as it was mine. I do regret not getting there early enough to see the Han Solo/Carbonite display. When the opening fanfare started, every hair on my body stood straight on end and stayed that way through Dual of the Fates. Congrats to the Tulane Choir for doing a great job with the vocals. Anthony Daniels was great in his role, adding comedic touch, emotion, and an insider's wistful recollection on the characters. The video was smartly edited and stunning on the huge HD screen. But let's not forget the whole reason for this event - the orchestra and music. Conductor Mark Watters did a fantastic job! To hear the sounds of the music I've known for 32 years and see master musicians bring it to life was both visceral and emotional. The musicians did an impeccable job, and kudos to them as well. I'm not a frequent symphony-goer, but I am a fan of orchestral music and at times, I was more intent on watching the musicians than looking at the huge 30-foot screen. My only wish from this show would have been for the cameras to focus more on the orchestra. This will definitely be a hard experience for any other spectacle to best!
